Friends,

As you know, I'm running a live scenario demonstration today at 12:15pm, ET. Bring a sandwich; I’ll supply the complications. You'll get to see what it's like to work with the TTX Sparkle Fairy of Chaos & Bad News, as well as get a glimpse into how my methods help organizations increase resilience, fortify partner relationships, and communicate in a hurry.

The news has been doing a rather thorough job of writing scenario prompts for me this week:

- **Help on paper isn’t always capacity on the ground.** Some election officials say [renewed federal cybersecurity support is arriving too late for parts of their preparations](https://www.nextgov.com/cybersecurity/2026/09/renewed-cisa-support-comes-too-late-midterm-prep-some-election-officials-say/416345/?ref=srgstrategic.com), with smaller jurisdictions particularly stretched.
- **AI doesn’t always announce itself.** [AP reports](https://apnews.com/article/artificial-intelligence-campaign-ads-midterms-d375801e10821b3e6ac776ffc77e1f28?ref=srgstrategic.com) that 69% of the 164 political ads researchers identified as AI-generated or AI-enhanced carried no disclosure. For anyone expected to respond quickly, figuring out what they’re actually looking at becomes part of the job.

For public agencies, businesses, civic organizations, and the people advising or funding them, these stories raise connected questions: Whose information can you trust? Whose help can you count on? Who can act while everyone else is still checking?

**Today is a chance to see how I work, and what SRG actually does.** We’ll follow a disruption across communications, operations, authority, and partnerships, examining how one decision changes someone else’s options.

That’s central to SRG’s research and advisory work: finding where a strategy depends on assumptions about people, institutions, and resources—and helping organizations decide what needs to change.

Twelve minutes of scenario, followed by conversation. Election expertise optional. Curiosity welcome.
